Free alternatives to Figma

Why look elsewhere

Figma's free plan limits editors and projects, and your design files live on Figma's servers in its own format.

What to compare

Penpot is the closest to Figma, with components, prototypes and developer hand-off on open standards; Quant-UX is for prototypes you test with users; Mondrian is a simple vector editor in the browser.
