Free alternatives to Jira
Why look elsewhere
Jira is free only for small teams, and it is a lot of tool for a small project.
What to compare
Plane is closest to Jira and Linear in feel; Taiga is built around Scrum and Kanban; OpenProject adds Gantt charts, time tracking and classic project planning. All three can be self-hosted.
